Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, Trauma-informed

Individual Adult Therapy

  • Anxiety

Feeling anxious can make even simple things feel overwhelming. You might notice your mind racing, your body feeling tense, or a constant sense that something’s “not quite right.” You’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep feeling this way.

In therapy, we’ll work together to understand what your anxiety is trying to tell you and find practical ways to quiet the noise. Using gentle, evidence-based approaches like CBT and mindfulness, you’ll learn to calm your body, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build confidence in handling whatever life brings. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, peaceful, and in control—so you can move through your days with greater ease and self-trust.

  • Adult ADHD

If you’re an adult with ADHD, you’ve probably spent a lot of time trying to “do things the right way”—only to wonder why what seems easy for others can feel so hard for you. Maybe your mind is always buzzing with ideas, but staying organized, focused, or consistent feels exhausting. You’re not lazy or broken—your brain works differently.

In our work together, we’ll get curious about how your ADHD shows up and find ways to work with your brain, not against it. We’ll build on your strengths—your creativity, intuition, and big-picture thinking—while creating tools and routines that actually fit your life. We’ll also make space to untangle the shame or self-doubt that can come from years of feeling “too much” or “not enough.” My goal is to help you feel understood, confident, and proud of the way your mind works.

  • Life Transitions

Life has a way of shifting beneath our feet—sometimes gently, sometimes all at once. Even when change is something we’ve longed for, it can still leave us feeling unsteady, unsure, or caught between who we were and who we’re becoming. Maybe you’re starting over, letting go, or standing at the edge of something new. Whatever the change, it’s okay to feel both the ache of what’s ending and the pull of what’s next.

In our work together, we’ll create space to pause and explore this season with curiosity. We’ll honor your grief and uncertainty, while also helping you rediscover your strength, purpose, and sense of direction. My role is to walk beside you as you navigate the in-between—to help you find steadiness, clarity, and confidence as you grow into what’s next.

  • Trauma

Trauma can leave deep marks—not just in memory, but in the body, the nervous system, and the way we see ourselves and the world. You may feel on edge or shut down, struggle to trust, or find that certain moments, places, or relationships bring old pain rushing back. Complex trauma, especially from ongoing experiences like childhood neglect, emotional abuse, or unstable relationships, can make it hard to feel safe anywhere—even within yourself.

In therapy, we’ll move gently and at your pace. Together, we’ll begin to understand how your mind and body learned to survive, and how those patterns—once protective—might now be keeping you stuck. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened; it means learning to live in the present with more safety, connection, and self-compassion. We’ll work toward helping you feel grounded in your body, confident in your voice, and able to trust yourself again.

My hope is to offer a space where your story is honored, your resilience is seen, and you can begin to believe—deeply—that healing is possible.

  • Pet Loss

Some bonds are woven so quietly into our lives that we don’t realize how much they hold us together—until they’re gone. The soft footsteps that once followed you from room to room, the warmth curled at your side, the steady comfort of a familiar heartbeat—these are the moments that stay. When a beloved pet passes, the silence they leave behind can be deafening.

In therapy, we’ll create space for your sorrow and your stories. We’ll honor the life you shared, tend to the ache in your heart, and help you find a way to carry their memory with warmth instead of pain. Love this deep doesn’t disappear; it changes shape.

Self-pay clients do not require a diagnosis. While a diagnosis can be beneficial for some, others do not find it helpful and that it can have consequences.

Self-pay does not place limits on your treatment. Due to insurance guidelines, limitations are often placed on your therapy process, including the total number of sessions you receive, the number of sessions per week, or even the length of your session. These limits do not always align with your treatment recommendations or goals and can inhibit your progress. Insurance determines what is considered “medically necessary” and could deny a particular diagnosis, number of sessions, length of sessions, and treatments.

Self-pay clients have complete privacy. When using insurance, your information (e.g., diagnosis, reason for seeking counseling, and treatment goals) is all shared with your insurance.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
